About the Role
As a Process Engineer NPI (New Product Introduction), you will be responsible for the design and development of new and/or improved manufacturing processes. You will ensure efficient and effective design transfer of products into production and be part of a cross-functional team to lead and manage all aspects of process development for implementation within Enovis and at its suppliers. Drive improvements to existing manufacturing processes within the New Product Development project, which may be shared across other production lines.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a cross-functional team member as the primary process and manufacturing expert on new product introduction teams.
- Assess process capabilities, prioritize process improvement opportunities, and innovate and implement process improvements on new development projects.
- Apply technical knowledge to innovate, design, and develop processes, procedures, tooling, and/or automation.
- Execute functional deliverables associated with CAPA, Project Management, and Quality Systems.
- Plan, organize, and conduct all aspects of manufacturing technical reviews.
- Ensure proper documentation is completed to meet quality systems requirements (e.g., BOMs, Routers, FMEAs).
- Write and review validation protocols and reports applicable to new processes.
- Oversee development builds associated with the project using technical work requests.
- Provide Design for Manufacturability (DFM) input to the engineering print package.
- Convey process and manufacturing limits and capabilities to the development team.
- Contribute ideas to or generate Intellectual Property submissions.
- Train manufacturing personnel when required as part of a validation.
- Participate in lean reviews and Kaizen events.
- Coach technicians or other engineering support employees.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in science or BSME, or related Engineering.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in a process/manufacturing engineering role.
- Applicants must already have full-time work authorization in the United States, both now and in the future, without requiring sponsorship.
