About the Role

This position is responsible for ensuring that customer's on-site dental equipment is operating properly, focusing on troubleshooting, repairing, and supporting equipment installation and maintenance contract sales.

Responsibilities

  • Respond promptly to service requests
  • Follow through on commitments to customers and internal colleagues
  • Listen to customer issues
  • Communicate client service information with Sales Representatives and Service Coordinators
  • Complete work orders
  • Maintain appropriate tools, supplies, and parts within vehicle
  • Document equipment issues and completed repairs
  • Diagnose equipment issues and arrange for required parts, supplies, or tools
  • Communicate equipment issues and recommended repairs to customers
  • Adjust, repair, or calibrate equipment based on manufacturer’s specifications
  • Follow through on maintenance contracts
  • Provide follow-up support for new equipment installations within committed timelines
  • Verify equipment is set to manufacturer’s specifications
  • Sell maintenance contracts
  • Report incidents, injuries, or near misses
  • Conduct oneself in accordance with Sinclair’s policies
  • Participate in ongoing educational programs

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience repairing equipment
  • Experience in mechanical, electrical, electronic, pneumatic, hydraulic and/or plumbing
  • Daily travel between dentists’ offices throughout the territory
  • Valid Canadian or equivalent driver’s license and a good driving record
  • Available to work evenings and weekends to support emergency call outs
  • Periodically required to travel overnight to provide support to clients
  • Able to lift heavy equipment (up to 50 lbs.)
  • Manual dexterity to operate hand and small power tools

  • Aptitude for problem solving
  • Able to prioritize and organize work schedule with limited supervision
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

Education Level

  • Certification, Diploma or Degree in mechanical, electrical, small machine repair etc. is an asset

Salary/Compensations

  • $50,600.00 - $76,000.00 Annual
