About the Role

This role is responsible for the end-to-end Oracle EPM workstream on large-scale Oracle finance transformation programs, focusing on planning, close, and reporting to enhance a finance function's performance. The position requires becoming the EPM design authority for clients and a go-to expert for Oracle EPM within the practice.

Responsibilities

  • Owns the Oracle EPM workstream end to end on large-scale Oracle finance transformation programmes.
  • Leads the EPM workstream end to end, including fit-to-standard, functional design, testing, and deployment.
  • Manages dependencies with the wider Oracle finance solution.
  • Works closely with Oracle delivery and integration teams while maintaining ownership of the finance outcome.
  • Leads functional teams across onshore and offshore delivery.
  • Facilitates design forums with senior finance and FP&A stakeholders.
  • Keeps programme leadership informed through structured status updates, issue management, and decision recommendations.
  • Contributes to practice growth by supporting proposals and bids.
  • Shapes EPM transformation approaches.
  • Grows accounts the role works on.
  • Builds reusable assets and points of view.

Requirements

  • Deep, hands-on command of Oracle Cloud EPM across the suite: planning, budgeting, and forecasting in EPBCS, Essbase and Hyperion foundations, and consolidation and close.
  • Understanding of how an EPM landscape fits together and connects to the wider Oracle Cloud finance estate.
  • Ability to stand behind the design as the person who makes it hold up.
  • Strong grasp of FP&A and integrated planning.
  • Understanding of management reporting and analytics that turn an EPM solution into trusted business insight, including dashboards, board reporting, and the reporting layer.
  • Understanding of how planning and consolidation design impacts the CFO, leading to a faster close, credible forecasts, and performance insight that drives decisions.
  • Experience leading the EPM workstream end to end.
  • Experience coordinating finance, FP&A, and operational perspectives with confidence.
  • Ability to link sharper planning and close design to better insight and stronger decisions for the CFO.
  • Experience running workshops, managing stakeholders and expectations, good judgement, critical thinking, and clear decisions under pressure.
  • Oracle EPM certification is a plus.
  • Track record leading Oracle Cloud EPM delivery on large-scale programmes, across planning and the close.
  • Experience of complex, multi-entity or multi-country work.
  • Confidence to lead senior client design discussions.
  • A professional finance or accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent industry experience) is a plus.
