About the Role
Patriot Medical Wound Health is seeking a motivated and dependable Medical Assistant to join their wound care team. This role offers hands-on clinical experience working directly with physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and other medical professionals.
Responsibilities
- Prepare patient charts and wound care notes before each visit.
- Round in person with wound care providers.
- Scribe medical notes and assist with accurate clinical documentation.
- Assist providers during wound care visits and procedures under supervision.
- Help organize wound measurements, photos, supplies, and treatment information.
- Communicate with providers, nurses, facility staff, and administrative team members.
- Assist with follow-up tasks, orders, and patient care coordination.
- Support a smooth workflow during wound rounds.
- Maintain professionalism, patient privacy, and accurate documentation.
Requirements
- Interest in healthcare, wound care, geriatrics, or direct patient care.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Detailed organizational skills.
- Comfortable with medical documentation and technology.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced clinical environment.

- Willingness to learn while working closely with the clinical team.
- Prior patient care experience.
- Patient care experience 1 to 2 years preferred.
- Medical Assistant, Scribe, CNA, EMT, or healthcare background preferred.
- Comfortable working in skilled nursing, assisted living, long-term care, or community-based settings.
- Reliable transportation required.
- In-person role.
- Day shift availability required.
- Ability to travel to assigned facility and community locations as needed.
