About the Role
Right at Home NY is seeking a compassionate individual to provide in-home care services to seniors, supporting their daily living needs and enhancing their emotional, spiritual, and physical health. Join a community of caregivers dedicated to making a difference.
Responsibilities
- Provide health care services in patient’s residences
- Perform domestic and household tasks
- Transport and accompany patients to doctor’s office or to hospital
- Assist with client’s personal care activities
- Monitor patients (vital signs, temperature, respiration, etc.) and report on their condition
- Maintain patient’s care records and document provided services
- Provide companionship and basic emotional or psychological support
- Have familiarity with basic nutrition and personal hygiene standards
- Have proper nursing and health care administration skills
Requirements
- A Valid (NYS) HHA Certifications or PCA Certification
- A Physical within the past 12 months
- PPD within the last year or chest x-ray within 5 years
- Proof of MMR Immunization
- Drug Screen
- Valid ID and Social Security Card
- Proficiency in English
- Warmth, compassion, patience, trustworthiness, an upbeat and confident personality, strong work ethic, excellent communication skills
- COVID-19 vaccination card (if applicable)
