About the Role
The Self-Direction Broker Supports Coordinator (SDBSC) serves as the primary contact for independent broker matters, assisting with invoicing, educating on AIM Services FI supports, and acting as a liaison for contracted brokers and individuals receiving services. This role supports the AIM Self-Direction team by ensuring understanding of policies and procedures and assisting with required waiver documentation.
Responsibilities
- Assist with education of all fiscal intermediary policies and procedures.
- Support teams with individualized tasks and support when receiving broker services.
- Process information in accordance with OPWDD requirements.
- Participate as an active member of the individuals’ program team and Circle of Support.
- Maintain schedule flexibility to ensure individual supports and program implementation.
- Perform other related duties as requested by supervisor.
Requirements
- Associate’s Degree in a Human Services Related Field with 2 years experience working with individuals with disabilities OR High School Degree with 4 years experience working with individuals with disabilities preferred and one year as a Fiscal Intermediary Coordinator.
- Complete Broker Training Institute (BTI) and any supplemental trainings when offered.
- Valid NYS Driver’s License acceptable to Agency Insurance standards.
- Maintain valid insurance and provide insurance card if using your own vehicle.
- Ability to exhibit/maintain a professional, kind, courteous and patient manner at all times.

Education Level
- Associate’s Degree in a Human Services Related Field
