About the Role

Gastico Berlin is the exclusive caterer at the Bertelsmann Group's representative office at Unter den Linden 1 in Berlin. We are seeking a Service Employee (m/f/d) for upscale event service in full-time. You will work in the heart of Berlin at a prestigious address, catering to a diverse range of events from small meetings to large-scale events for up to 1,000 guests, hosting prominent figures from business, politics, media, and culture. Every event is unique, making your workday exciting, varied, and challenging.

Responsibilities

Execution of events including preparation and follow-up
Greeting and attending to our high-profile guest clientele during events
Responsibility for timely mise-en-place
Instruction, leadership, and motivation of external service staff
Conducting independent meetings
Ensuring smooth service operations
Organization of warehouse, goods receipt, and inspection
Thorough knowledge of food and beverage offerings

Requirements

Independent and responsible work style

Enjoyment of professionally executing events and creating unforgettable experiences for guests
Team spirit, commitment, and a positive attitude
Ideally, initial experience in upscale gastronomy or event management
