About the Role

We are hiring a Research Specialist to support our autoimmunity work in the Wherry Lab. The candidate will be responsible for preparing and performing flow cytometry, ELISA assays, tissue histology, and RNA sequencing on both mouse tissues and human samples. Supplementary work will also include mouse colony organization, molecular biology plasmid construction, human sample organization, and data analysis. The candidate will work closely with a senior lab member in the Wherry lab. Ability to follow established standard procedures, attention to detail, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and ability and eagerness to work in a team setting is required. This position is contingent upon funding.

Responsibilities

Preparing and performing flow cytometry, ELISA assays, tissue histology, and RNA sequencing on both mouse tissues and human samples.
Mouse colony organization.

Requirements

Bachelor of Science in biology, biochemistry, or related field.
0 to 1 year of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Laboratory experience with basic techniques.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
