About the Role
Dow Jones is seeking a Manager, Strategy & Growth to shape the future growth of The Wall Street Journal and Dow Jones by tackling strategic opportunities, evaluating new businesses and partnerships, informing operating strategy, competitive positioning, and long-term growth initiatives. This is a broad, high-impact role for someone who enjoys solving complex business problems, moving fluidly across a diverse portfolio of work.
Responsibilities
- Execute strategic initiatives that drive growth across Dow Jones and The Wall Street Journal.
- Evaluate new business opportunities, partnerships, acquisitions, and other strategic investments.
- Conduct market research, competitive analysis, and customer insight work to identify emerging trends and growth opportunities.
- Build financial models, business cases, and scenario analyses to support investment decisions and strategic planning.
- Analyze internal and external data to uncover opportunities, measure performance, and inform executive decision-making.
- Partner with leaders across editorial, product, engineering, marketing, finance, and commercial teams to advance key initiatives.
- Prepare executive-ready presentations, memos, and recommendations for senior leadership.
- Help drive strategic projects from initial concept through execution, adapting as business priorities evolve.
Requirements
- Experienced in strategy consulting, corporate strategy, corporate development, investment banking, business operations, or a related field.
- Strong analytical, financial modeling, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent research capabilities and the ability to synthesize complex information into clear recommendations.
- Comfort working with ambiguity and independently driving projects forward.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including experience preparing materials for senior executives.
- Knowledge or experience about digital media and evolving consumer behavior.
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Experience in digital media, consumer subscriptions, marketplaces, or platform businesses.
- Familiarity with partnership strategy, business development, M&A, or commercial negotiations.
- Experience using data and analytics to inform strategic decisions.

- $130,000 - $160,000
