About the Role

Morgan Stanley seeks a senior English or New York qualified litigation lawyer for the EMEA Litigation team within the Legal & Compliance Division. This role provides litigation and contentious regulatory support across EMEA for all business units.

Responsibilities

• Advising on and managing pending and threatened legal proceedings (civil, criminal, and administrative) and contentious regulatory proceedings.
• Advising and assisting with dispute prevention and broader risk management, including pre-litigation/pre-investigation advice.
• Identifying risks and developing strategies for minimization or elimination.
• Providing training on litigation risks, advising on policies and procedures, and reviewing contracts for appropriate protections.
• Managing relationships with external counsel and other service providers.
• Collaborating with Legal and Compliance coverage teams and other members of the Global Litigation team.

Requirements

• A minimum of 8-10 years' post-qualification litigation or contentious regulatory experience with a major US or UK law firm and/or investment bank is required.
• If this role is deemed a Certified role, the role holder may require mandatory regulatory qualifications or minimum qualifications to meet internal company benchmarks.
