About the Role
Brown Advisory is seeking motivated, team-oriented students for a 9-week, on-site internship designed to immerse participants in investment management. Interns will contribute to firm-wide projects, select a specialty (e.g., Portfolio Management or Investment Research), and develop analytical, strategic, and communication skills through real-world projects.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to projects that span the entire firm.
- Collaborate with colleagues to harness data for investment decisions, process optimization, and client outcomes.
- Assist in preparing mock client materials, analyzing performance data, and participating in meetings (Portfolio Management specialty).
- Contribute to financial modeling, company analysis, or thematic research (Investment Research specialty).
Requirements
- Pursuing an undergraduate degree with an expected graduation date between December 2027 and June 2028.
- Minimum overall GPA of 3.0; unofficial transcript required.
- Balanced resume showcasing leadership roles, extracurricular involvement, or notable achievements.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to identify opportunities and own projects.
- Analytical and adaptive thinker with a passion for finance, investing, and macro-level economics.
- Demonstrated initiative, leadership, and adaptability.
- Experience with MS Excel.
- Strong communication and presentation skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Willingness to work collaboratively and thrive in a team environment.
- Ability to multitask and adapt swiftly to changing priorities.
- Willingness to work on-site five days a week in Baltimore, Boston, New York, or Washington, D.C.
- Authorized to work in the United States without future employer sponsorship.
