About the Role

ZP Better Together is a leading provider of communication services for the deaf and hard of hearing communities, offering onsite interpreting, video relay service, and video remote interpreting. The company is experiencing significant growth and seeks to add expertise to its teams. This role involves determining staffing needs for call centers and onsite clients, and managing the full recruitment cycle for interpreters.

Responsibilities

Communicate with applicants throughout all phases of the hiring process for open positions.
Maintain a database of interpreter contacts and status notes using applicable software.
Track and document interpreter applications during the hiring process.
Contact potential interpreters in specific locations for cold outreach to fill call center and remote positions.
Travel to trade shows and conventions for recruitment as needed.
Plan and execute recruiting events and initiatives.
Deliver oral presentations at sites, trade shows, and recruiting events to enhance recruitment potential.
Work varied schedules, including weekends, based on business needs.
Perform other related duties and special projects as required.

Requirements

3 years of experience as a professional sign language interpreter in various settings (5 years preferred).
Strong understanding of Deaf Culture.
Demonstrated people management and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
Knowledge of HR hiring practices.
Proficient writing and reporting skills.
Proficient oral presentation skills.
Experience with Windows, XP Operating Systems, and MS Office.
Experience working in a video relay call center as an interpreter is preferred.
Position may require some travel.
