About the Role
This part-time role is responsible for handling various sales activities in the store, including facilitating purchases and providing customer service.
Responsibilities
- Greet every customer upon entry.
- Execute the Five Steps to a Sale.
- Offer current promotions and special offers.
- Operate the Point of Sale system accurately.
- Provide comprehensive service by utilizing calendars.com, email marketing, and in-store special orders.
- Maintain a store environment that meets visual merchandising standards, engages customers, and stimulates purchases.
- Receive and place new shipments.
- Reset features and promotions as directed.
- Complete regular housekeeping tasks.
Requirements
- No retail experience is necessary, however at least 3 months of retail experience is a plus.
- Excellent verbal communication skills with a friendly, professional demeanor.
- Enthusiasm about being an impactful and innovative leader.
- Self-motivated, passionate about the work, optimistic, and solution-oriented.
- High integrity, accountability, reliability, and openness to feedback.
- Ability to create an exciting shopping experience by staying connected with customer needs.
- Basic computer skills, POS system, and Microsoft Office proficiency.
- Able to perform basic math functions.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail.
- Occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, and peripheral vision.
- Regularly required to talk and hear.
- Frequently required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel.
- Required to stand; walk; reach with hands and arms.
