About the Role

St. John's Riverside Hospital is seeking a Driver/Courier to operate hospital vehicles, provide patient transportation, and transport equipment, supplies, mail, medical waste, and money between all Riverside Health Care System sites. The role also includes vehicle maintenance and reporting any license changes, summonses, accidents, revocations, or suspensions to the Supervisor of Transportation.

Responsibilities

• Operate hospital owned vehicles in a safe and professional manner.
• Provide patient transportation services for Riverside Health Care System, Inc.
• Transport equipment and supplies, mail, medical waste/money to all Riverside Health Care System, Inc. sites.
• Maintain vehicles in good condition.
• Notify Supervisor of Transportation of any license changes, summonses, accidents, revocations, or suspensions.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid Driver’s License in New York State, Connecticut, or New Jersey.
• Completion of Certified Driver Safety Course.
• Driver’s record must be reviewed by the Asst. Vice President for violations and patterns.
