About the Role

The Kraft Heinz Company is seeking a Janitorial Worker for their food processing facility in Avon, NY. Successful candidates will contribute improvement suggestions, demonstrate adaptability, and work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment while adhering to strict quality and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide janitorial duties to common areas, waste room, locker rooms, plant exteriors, hallways, walkways, and recycling areas.
• Perform relief responsibilities for waste room attendants, with a potential pay upgrade.
• Clean and supply designated building areas, including dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, cleaning ceiling vents, and restroom cleaning.
• Follow instructions for chemical and supply usage.
• Carry out heavy cleansing tasks and special projects.
• Notify management of deficiencies or repair needs.
• Identify facility repairs, adjustments, and minor repairs.
• Stock and maintain hair and beard nets throughout the plant.
• Follow all health and safety regulations.
• Perform general clean-up of all building areas as directed.
• Manage routine upkeep of exterior areas and the parking lot.
• Complete non-routine cleaning according to specified job orders.
• Remove garbage and recycle daily, preparing bins for weekly pick-up.
• Handle emergency cleaning and upkeep requests.
• Ensure rooms are maintained and fully equipped according to standards.
• Maintain assigned janitorial areas according to standards.
• Follow all site safety and GMP regulations.
• Adhere to all PPE requirements for specific sanitation tasks.
• Perform general cleaning, periodic cleaning, and drain cleaning as assigned.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Supervisor or Group Leader.
• Provide relief for duties including operating cardboard and plastic bailers, waste cart and extractor dumpers and compressors, and liquid waste handling systems.
• Obtain and maintain powered equipment certification for forklifts and other powered equipment as needed.

Requirements

• Must train on 1st shift for 2 weeks (6AM-2:30PM).
• Willingness to supply improvement suggestions and ideas.
• Safety and quality orientation.
• Adaptability and willingness to work in a team-oriented, fast-paced work environment.
• Ability to perform general production duties in a food manufacturing environment.
• Able to work on weekends and holidays.
