About the Role

Provide high-level support to department leaders and professional staff, helping to coordinate priorities, manage day-to-day operations, and ensure departments run smoothly. This role is ideal for someone who is highly organized, proactive, and enjoys working with a variety of people. You will play an important part in supporting leaders and teams whose work directly contributes to patient care, research, education, and innovation.

Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support to department leaders, including Chairs, Chiefs, Assistant Vice Presidents, and other professional staff
  • Coordinate schedules, meetings, calendars, and department activities
  • Prepare correspondence, reports, presentations, and other business documents
  • Serve as a key point of contact for internal and external stakeholders
  • Help organize projects, events, and departmental initiatives
  • Maintain records, files, and other important information with accuracy and confidentiality
  • Assist with departmental communications and the flow of information across teams
  • Support daily operations and help ensure priorities and deadlines are met
  • Anticipate needs, solve problems, and help leaders stay focused on strategic goals

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree and the equivalent of four (4) years of full-time secretarial or related experience; or High School Diploma or High School Equivalency Diploma and the equivalent of five (5) years of full-time secretarial or related experience.
  • Required degrees must have been granted by an accredited school, college or university or one recognized by Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center as following acceptable educational practices.
