About the Role
Morrison Mahoney LLP is seeking a full-time Associate Attorney with 5+ years of civil litigation experience in Transportation defense to join our team. This role offers a flexible hybrid work arrangement and the opportunity to manage cases from inception through resolution in a collaborative environment.
Responsibilities
- Manage cases from inception through resolution
- Take and defend depositions
- Prepare and file dispositive motions
- Handle arbitrations and mediations
- Prepare comprehensive status reports for insurers
- Draft pleadings, motions, and discovery requests
- Prepare for and attend depositions, hearings, and trials
- Ensure meticulous compliance with all court deadlines and scheduling requirements
- Work closely with clients, experts, and fellow attorneys to develop and execute effective litigation strategies
- Provide clear and consistent client communication, including regular updates and comprehensive written status reports
- Conduct in-depth legal research
- Prepare strategic memoranda
- Collaborate with partners and senior attorneys to ensure seamless case management
Requirements
- 5+ years of civil litigation experience handling the defense of Transportation matters
- Ability to manage cases from inception through resolution
- Ability to draft and argue dispositive motions
- Ability to perform legal research
- Ability to respond to discovery requests
- Admission to the New York State Bar
