About the Role

The Information Security team at XTX Markets is responsible for all aspects of the firm’s IT security, from event and signal analysis to designing and implementing security systems. This role involves working with software engineers to identify security flaws and engineer technical solutions with a defensive mindset, handling large-scale information across multiple locations and protecting against attackers.

Responsibilities

Engage in requirements gathering, architecting, prototyping, and developing internal tools and broader infrastructure in conjunction with partner teams.
Work across a broad range of security roles and projects, including compliance-related tasks.

Requirements

Approximately one to three years’ experience in Information Security.
Proficiency in at least one statically typed language (development is primarily in Golang, though previous experience in Go is not a pre-requisite).
Scripting is mainly in Python.
Knowledge of how systems are built and how to break them.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to write clearly and succinctly.
Rapid learner with strong attention to detail.
Ability to work autonomously and prioritize as required.
Willingness to admit mistakes and seek feedback to improve performance.
Personal projects which you can show or talk about.
Experience playing CTFs.
Security certifications demonstrating practical ability, e.g. OSCP.
