About the Role

Langan is seeking a Contracts Attorney or Contract Manager to manage a wide range of contract matters, supporting the General Counsel and Assistant General Counsel. This role focuses on professional services agreements within the A/E/C industry and offers opportunities for growth into broader in-house responsibilities.

Responsibilities

  • Draft, review, analyze, and interpret professional services agreements, subcontract agreements, and other commercial agreements.
  • Prepare redlines, comments, summaries, and recommendations for agreements.
  • Negotiate agreements with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Support contract management, tracking, and process refinement.
  • Support contract negotiations and escalate higher-risk items.
  • Assist in the completion of RFQs, certifications, prequalification forms, legal disclosures, and supplemental questionnaires.
  • Draft legal correspondence, including demand letters for outstanding A/R.
  • Manage the filing of mechanic’s liens.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to collect required data, approvals, and business input.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience supporting engineering, construction, or architectural firms strongly preferred.
  • Experience with professional service agreements, subcontracts, or prime consultant agreements.
  • Exceptional organization and prioritization skills.
  • Ability to excel in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical, multitasking, and judgment capabilities.
  • Ability to effectively work independently and in a team environment.
