About the Role
Langan is seeking a Contracts Attorney or Contract Manager to manage a wide range of contract matters, supporting the General Counsel and Assistant General Counsel. This role focuses on professional services agreements within the A/E/C industry and offers opportunities for growth into broader in-house responsibilities.
Responsibilities
- Draft, review, analyze, and interpret professional services agreements, subcontract agreements, and other commercial agreements.
- Prepare redlines, comments, summaries, and recommendations for agreements.
- Negotiate agreements with internal and external stakeholders.
- Support contract management, tracking, and process refinement.
- Support contract negotiations and escalate higher-risk items.
- Assist in the completion of RFQs, certifications, prequalification forms, legal disclosures, and supplemental questionnaires.
- Draft legal correspondence, including demand letters for outstanding A/R.
- Manage the filing of mechanic’s liens.
- Collaborate with internal teams to collect required data, approvals, and business input.
- Perform other duties as required.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
- Experience supporting engineering, construction, or architectural firms strongly preferred.
- Experience with professional service agreements, subcontracts, or prime consultant agreements.
- Exceptional organization and prioritization skills.
- Ability to excel in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical, multitasking, and judgment capabilities.
- Ability to effectively work independently and in a team environment.
