About the Role
The role involves planning and coordinating the infrastructure for wind farms, including cable routes, access roads, crane hardstands, and special constructions. This includes quantity surveying and preparing tender documents. The position requires close interdisciplinary collaboration with various departments and external experts.
Responsibilities
- Planning and coordinating wind farm infrastructure (cable routes, access roads, crane hardstands, special constructions), including quantity surveying and tender document preparation.
- Managing internal and external CAD designers and ensuring the quality of 2D/3D designs.
- Close interdisciplinary collaboration with project development, construction, electrical engineering, environmental management, and logistics.
- Coordinating the heavy-lift logistics concept with the Project Manager Construction and OEMs.
- Assisting with permit procedures and supporting authority consultations.
- Collaborating with experts to create and evaluate technical reports.
- Supporting CapEx estimation and providing technical mentoring to junior colleagues (for Senior level).
Requirements
- Completed engineering degree (Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energies, or similar).
- Several years of experience in infrastructure planning, ideally in wind energy; alternatively, civil engineering/road construction, heavy-lift logistics, crane, or cable construction.
- Proficient in AutoCAD 2D/3D; willingness to learn Civil 3D; GIS knowledge is desirable.
- Understanding of relevant technical standards, building regulations, and permit processes in wind energy.
- Basic knowledge of contract law (VOB/B, BGB) and technical project management.
- Ability to conduct economic feasibility analyses (for Senior level).
- Very good German language skills (C1) and good English language skills (B2).
- Experience in EPC projects, simulation tools, and current industry knowledge are desirable.
