About the Role

HDR Engineering is seeking a Power Delivery Project Manager to join our nationally ranked team. This role involves planning, developing, executing, and closing out all aspects of Power Delivery projects, contributing to reliable, resilient, and sustainable power systems.

Responsibilities

Plan, develop, execute, and close out all aspects of Power Delivery projects.
Manage scope and proposal development.
Develop and assign project teams.
Oversee project execution, closeout, quality control, schedule, and budget.
Manage projects involving substations, system protection/planning, transmission lines, distribution lines, and associated strategic services.
Oversee routing/siting, environmental permitting, right of way acquisition, and construction management.
Build local teams and leverage existing staff to execute work and deliver services.
Engage in business development activities.
Understand and apply basic project management tools and techniques.
Independently coordinate the work of engineers and the project team throughout the project life cycle.
Oversee non-engineering components of projects, including public involvement, environmental permitting, right of way acquisition, and construction management.
Lead the QA/QC process on projects.
Direct, mentor, train, and/or supervise transmission APMs, Project Engineers, and junior design staff.
Perform client management, project management, and technical support activities.
Represent HDR to support marketing and proposal development.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in a related field.
7 years of related experience.
A minimum of 2 years of project management experience.
Ability to interact with various design teams.
Excellent organizational, project management, and communication (written and verbal) skills.
An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must.
