A British family seeks a warm, experienced Private Primary Teacher for their two daughters (ages 7 and 9) in New York City. The role focuses on aligning the children with the English National Curriculum and ensuring a smooth transition back to school. The ideal candidate is available early mornings for focused academic lessons, offering an encouraging and adaptable approach.
Responsibilities
- Teach English and Maths at primary level.
- Incorporate Science and other core subjects where appropriate.
- Plan engaging lessons suited to each child’s ability and learning style.
- Build confidence and provide regular progress updates to the parents.
Requirements
- Experience teaching primary-aged children at the equivalent of Years 3 and 5.
- Warm, patient, and flexible teaching approach.
- Comfortable working independently and planning lessons.
- Available in person on the Upper West Side for the required dates.
- Able to commit to early-morning lessons, ideally beginning at 8:00 a.m.
