About the Role

Drive policy development and regulatory strategy across Meta's messaging products, focusing on fraud, scams, user safety, enforcement precision, and AI integrations. This role involves owning policy responses to UK and EU online safety regulations and collaborating with various teams to develop scalable policy solutions and support regulatory readiness. You will also shape policy approaches for AI features and use AI tools in your daily workflow.

Responsibilities

Develop and refine policies for fraud, scams, and safety across WhatsApp, Messenger, and Instagram Direct, emphasizing enforcement efficiency and precision.
Monitor regulatory developments for messaging products and ensure product policy aligns with regulatory requirements.
Translate regulatory obligations into product requirements and scalable enforcement solutions with Product and Engineering teams.
Identify opportunities to use AI tools and automation to improve policy operations, analysis, and decision-making.
Build cross-functional relationships with product, communications, legal, operations, and public policy teams.
Serve as an escalation point for integrity issues and manage internal communications for policy matters.
Review product launches for policy risks related to scams, safety, and regulatory compliance.

Requirements

5+ years of work experience in policy, regulatory affairs, enforcement, or operations, with an emphasis on technology or telecommunications.
Familiarity with regulatory environments and frameworks for technology, online safety, or consumer protection.
Experience in internet/technology policy, including topics like online safety, fraud/scams, or consumer protection.
Demonstrated proficiency using AI tools to enhance productivity and analytical workflows.
Experience working cross-functionally and building consensus, including managing multi-stakeholder projects.
Experience analyzing complex policy issues and developing written policy positions on ambiguous, evolving topics.
