About the Role

This is a 24-month comprehensive journalistic training program at 105'5 Spreeradio in Berlin, starting March 1, 2027. You will gain practical experience in daily news production, covering society, politics, economy, sports, culture, and entertainment. The program includes microphone training, developing your own topics, cross-media experimentation (audio, video, social media), and workshops, seminars, and external internships at partner radio stations and within RTL Deutschland.

Responsibilities

  • Gain practical experience in daily news production covering society, politics, economy, sports, culture, and entertainment.
  • Regularly train microphone usage and learn to work professionally under time pressure.
  • Develop original topics and projects, experimenting cross-medially in audio, video, and social media.
  • Participate in workshops, seminars, and external internships at partner radio stations and within RTL Deutschland.
  • Learn at Europe's most modern audio location on Kurfürstendamm.

Requirements

  • Passion for radio and a desire to learn professional broadcast journalism.
  • A good sense for relevant and engaging topics.
  • Curiosity, being well-informed, and interest in diverse topics and people.
  • Good general knowledge and a passion for Berlin.
  • Ability to work well in a team, independently, and reliably under time pressure.
  • Openness to constructive feedback, willingness to try new things, and interest in digital trends.
  • Ability to explain complex topics clearly and concisely.
  • Desire for journalistic development and to shape the radio program.
  • A driver's license class B is advantageous.
  • Submit application documents including a cover letter and CV.
  • Optional: Submit a 'creative surprise' (video or audio) to showcase personality, ideas, and passion for radio.
