About the Role
The Senior Ministerial Officer supports the Manager, Ministerial and Executive Services, in providing correspondence and briefings to the office of the Minister for Police. The position prepares, coordinates, and reviews correspondence, briefings, and other documentation to ensure quality, relevance, and timeliness to meet the requirements of the NSW Police Force Executive, the Commissioner of Police, and the Minister for Police.
Responsibilities
- Prepares, coordinates, and reviews correspondence, briefings, and other documentation.
- Manages multiple tasks and competing priorities.
- Manages a complex project.
- Prepares ministerial and police correspondence, responses to Questions on Notice, House Folder Notes, briefings, and other advice on matters relating to NSWPF to internal and external stakeholders using sensitivity and discretion.
Requirements
- Must be an Australian Citizen, a permanent resident of Australia, or a New Zealand citizen.
- Must undergo a rigorous National Police (criminal history) Check.
- Must obtain and maintain a Security Clearance as determined by the NSW Police Force.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and competing priorities, including managing a complex project.
- Ability to prepare ministerial and police correspondence, responses to Questions on Notice, House Folder Notes, briefings and other advice on matters relating to NSWPF to internal and external stakeholders using sensitivity and discretion as required.
