About the Role
Glumac, a Tetra Tech company, is seeking a Senior Plumbing Engineer to lead plumbing consulting and design efforts. This role involves working on diverse projects, mentoring junior staff, and contributing to business development. The position offers career growth opportunities, including building and leading a regional plumbing practice.
Responsibilities
- Lead plumbing designs and prepare construction documents.
- Perform fixture counts, pipe/equipment sizing, and other plumbing calculations.
- Coordinate with ownership, mechanical, electrical, structural, and architectural teams.
- Support Construction Administration: RFIs, submittal reviews, site visits, and field reports.
- Adhere to QA/QC policies and escalate issues as needed.
- Mentor junior engineers/designers and help grow the local plumbing team.
- Assist with Business Development (BD) opportunities when needed.
Requirements
- 7+ years in consulting, construction, or similar.
- Valid PE license.
- Proficient in Revit (BIM).
- Strong plumbing design experience (commercial, healthcare, process, multifamily residential, and/or manufacturing).
- Clear communicator, organized, solution-oriented, able to work independently.
- Local to the region (+/- 30 miles to a Glumac office).
- Currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis; this position is not eligible for current or future employment visa sponsorship.
