About the Role
Caskinette Ford, the highest-volume Ford dealer in the North Country, is growing its Service Department and hiring Automotive Service Technicians at multiple experience levels. We are looking for motivated candidates ready to learn, train, and grow, as well as experienced technicians with diagnostic skills and certifications.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose, maintain and repair cars, trucks and SUVs
- Perform repairs according to repair orders and manufacturer specifications
- Work on engines, transmissions, electrical systems, steering, suspension, brakes, HVAC and other vehicle systems based on skill level
- Use modern diagnostic tools and Ford service equipment
- Test-drive vehicles and verify repairs
- Communicate with Service Advisors regarding vehicle needs and additional repairs
- Perform warranty repairs according to Ford specifications
- Continue developing technical skills through training and hands-on experience
Requirements
- Automotive repair or service experience preferred
- Automotive education or training is a plus
- NYS Inspection License is a plus
- ASE or manufacturer certifications are a plus
- Strong mechanical and troubleshooting ability
- Willingness to learn new vehicle technology and repair procedures
- Dependable, positive attitude
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
- Dealership or independent repair experience
- Diagnostic skills
- Ford or other manufacturer training
- NYS Inspection License
- ASE certifications
