About the Role
This role provides comprehensive systems, procedural, and commercial training to an Apprentice joining the Enterprise Software Cyber Security division, supporting the Cyber Security Lead. The apprentice will develop a strong understanding of positioning and selling cyber security technologies, while actively introducing and promoting leading Cyber Security solutions. As part of the apprenticeship, the individual will work towards sales competency accreditations, gaining practical knowledge of the full Sales Cycle, Objection Handling, setting SMART Objectives, and effectively positioning products and technologies with customers.
Responsibilities
- Gain an understanding of CMS, market position, and competition.
- Develop strong working relationships with experienced teams across the organization.
- Build an understanding of CMS' key Vendors and Technologies.
- Support the creation of high-level presentations for Quarterly Business Reviews.
- Support on-site events with vendors delivering training and insights.
- Learn about the sales pipeline and forecasting, working towards building a personal pipeline.
- Assess manual administration tasks and seek to automate or streamline processes.
- Attend business meetings with Vendors, Customers, and internal CMS teams.
- Manage workflow through email, CMS systems, and diary schedule.
- Learn to manage Customer and Vendor pricing and maintain accurate data on internal systems.
- Successfully complete CMS Vendor Accreditations to enhance technology knowledge and articulate features and benefits.
- Create and deliver a quarterly presentation on development and achievements to the CMS Leadership Team.
- Assist Sales and Purchasing Teams with administration to ensure customers receive accurate proposals and collateral.
- Create sales quotations to share and follow up with clients.
- Join Senior Managers on Customer site visits to gain experience in face-to-face engagement and presentation skills.
- Act as an Ambassador for CMS Distribution to ensure a professional image.
- Contribute and function as a role model for CMS values.
Requirements
- Achieved a Grade C/4 in Mathematics and English GCSE to be eligible for the program.
- Educated to Leaving Certificate or to A-level standard or equivalent.
- Proficient user of the Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Outlook, Word & Teams.
