About the Role

Digital Turbine is transforming into a data-intelligence company, centered around its ML platform and 'Next Best Action' framework. As a Senior Machine Learning Engineer, you will design and scale ML systems for ad ranking, bid optimization, recommendation, and user-level prediction across various business units. You will build pipelines and serving infrastructure to leverage data advantage for measurable improvements in CTR, CVR, and ROI, positioning DT as an AI-first company.

Responsibilities

Design, build, and deploy large-scale ML systems for ad ranking, click-through and conversion prediction, bid optimization, and next-best-action recommendation.
Build and operate production ML pipelines, including feature engineering, distributed training, deployment, retraining, and monitoring, processing billions of events and serving predictions at low latency.
Leverage data assets across the DT product portfolio to enable ML solutions for real-time decisioning using a wide range of features.
Optimize training and inference for compute efficiency, latency, and cost across distributed systems.
Partner with Data Science, Data Engineering, and product teams to ship models that improve key business metrics and conduct online experiments to validate impact.
Stay current with applied ML research and implement innovative techniques in advertising, ranking, and audience modeling.

Requirements

8+ years of experience building and deploying ML systems in production at scale, preferably in AdTech, recommender systems, search/ranking, or real-time bidding.
Strong software engineering fundamentals, including data structures, algorithms, and system design.
Proficiency in Python; Java, Scala, or C++ are strong pluses.
Hands-on experience with modern ML frameworks like PyTorch, TensorFlow, or JAX.
Experience with distributed data/compute systems such as Spark, Beam/Dataflow, or Flink.
Experience building robust ML pipelines, including feature stores, data versioning, model monitoring, and automated retraining.
A proven record of shipping models that demonstrably improved product or business metrics.
Master's or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Machine Learning, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
