About the Role

Capgemini is expanding its Enterprise Data Practice in Japan, leveraging global experience to help major organizations introduce and establish global-standard data migration and data governance solutions. We are seeking data consultants to drive transformation initiatives from planning through execution, addressing complex data challenges.

Responsibilities

• Assess current-state system architectures across business data environments, including BI/DWH, Data Lakes, and other data platforms (on-premises and cloud), and design data migration and data harmonization strategies.
• Lead assigned workstreams within data migration and data governance implementation projects.
• Lead the development of proposal materials in response to RFIs and RFPs.
• Collaborate with key client stakeholders, including IT and business teams, to gather requirements and facilitate alignment and decision-making.
• Develop executive-level presentations, proposals, and reports to support business and project decisions.
• Act as a bridge between clients and implementation teams (developers and data engineers), translating business requirements into functional and technical specifications.
• Drive data consulting engagements under the guidance and supervision of Capgemini project leadership.
• Support both project delivery and business development activities, including new opportunities, follow-on phases, and pre-sales initiatives.

Requirements

• Native-level Japanese proficiency or JLPT N1 equivalent.
• Approximately 5+ years of experience in system architecture design, including business data systems and enterprise application packages in both on-premises and cloud environments.
• Approximately 3+ years of experience as a consultant creating client-facing materials such as proposals, reports, and decision-making documents.
• Experience leading the development of proposal documents in response to RFIs (Requests for Information) and RFPs (Requests for Proposals).
• Must possess one of the following foundation-level certifications, or have equivalent hands-on experience with data platform technologies: Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Fundamentals (DP-900), Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Foundations Associate, SnowPro Associate: Platform, Oracle Database SQL Certified Associate (1Z0-071).
• Practical experience in at least one of the following areas: Data Migration, Data Modernization, Data Governance, Data Management.
• Able to bridge strategy and execution, moving seamlessly between high-level planning and hands-on implementation.
• Enjoys shaping solutions together with clients during the early stages of projects, particularly when requirements and approaches are still evolving and there is no predefined answer.
• Fluent in both business and technical domains, with the ability to act as a translator between stakeholders, ensuring that business needs are effectively communicated to technical teams and that technical concepts are clearly explained to business users.
