About the Role
As a Compliance Manager/CISO, you will ensure adherence to internal and external compliance and security requirements, overseeing relevant governance frameworks in information security. You will be responsible for the Information Security Management System (ISMS), including its development, monitoring, reporting, and management reviews. The role involves planning, managing, and supporting certifications and audits, coordinating external auditors, and ensuring the implementation of audit findings. You will also track and implement compliance and security measures, conduct risk assessments, drive continuous improvement, and maintain documentation and processes. Additionally, you will advise and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders and promote security awareness.
Responsibilities
- Ensuring compliance with internal and external compliance and security requirements
- Monitoring relevant governance frameworks in information security
- Responsibility for the Information Security Management System (ISMS), including further development, monitoring, and reporting to management
- Conducting management reviews
- Planning, managing, and supporting certifications and audits
- Coordinating external auditors
- Ensuring the implementation of measures from audit findings
- Tracking and implementing compliance and security measures
- Conducting risk assessments
- Continuous improvement
- Maintaining associated documentation and processes
- Advising and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders (e.g., Legal, business units, security teams, data protection/GDPR)
- Promoting security awareness within the company
Requirements
- Several years of relevant professional experience in compliance, information security, or certification management, ideally with a cloud provider or IT service provider
- Demonstrable experience in managing and controlling certification and qualification processes (e.g., ISO 27001, HDS) in complex, hybrid, or multi-site environments
- Very good knowledge of common security and compliance frameworks (especially ISO/IEC 27001, ISO 27002, HDS)
- Understanding of relevant regulatory requirements such as NIS 2, DORA, and GDPR
- Sound knowledge of risk analysis methods (e.g., ISO 27005, EBIOS RM)
- Ideally, experience with SecNumCloud and the principle of 'Privacy by Design'
- Strong communication skills in German and English
- High degree of personal responsibility
