About the Role

Join a team of tech-enthusiast engineers and contribute to the development of a multinational drone early warning system in the defense sector. Work with cutting-edge technologies in a dynamic, innovative, and hands-on environment.

Responsibilities

  • Develop a multi-sensor perception and fusion system for a drone early warning system with a learning map architecture.
  • Integrate software onto various hardware devices.
  • Perform kernel customization on devices like Raspberry Pi for IoT performance.
  • Enable fast and secure deployments in collaboration with Sensor Fusion, MLOps, and DevOps Engineers.
  • Monitor systems, resolve issues, and continuously improve observability.
  • Work with high-level network protocols, ROS 2, PCB design, OTA, and CAD.
  • Support on-site operations, collect sensor data, and validate technology in field trials, if desired.

Requirements

  • EU citizenship is a prerequisite due to security regulations.
  • Official registration in an EU country.
  • Minimum 7 years of IT experience (e.g., Software Engineering), ideally 15-20 years.
  • Minimum 5 years of full-time experience as an Embedded Engineer, ideally 10-15 years.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience working with a production real-time operating system.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in the IoT field.
  • Worked for the same employer for at least 2 consecutive years.
  • Willingness to work exclusively operationally and hands-on (not in management) for the next 3-5 years.
  • Willingness to travel to field trials in Berlin for 2-3 days per month, ideally.
