About the Role

Join us as a Graduate Consultant in Cyber Security in London. This role offers an excellent career opportunity to join a specialist team dedicated to supporting clients with severe cyber security incidents. You will work on an initial one-year fixed term contract with potential for extension.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Cyber Incident Response (CIR) team advising clients on live cyber crisis management.
  • Support initial assessment of cases, providing immediate verbal/written advice.
  • Advise clients on managing business impacts of critical cyber incidents and shaping recovery plans.
  • Liaise with key stakeholders, including clients, law firms, and communications specialists.
  • Discuss and input into communications strategies and plans.
  • Provide clients with ongoing incident response support.
  • Create and provide client-deliverable technical documentation and advice.
  • Perform additional technical analysis, including log analysis, tooling deployment, EDR delivery and hunting.
  • Maintain records of each case worked on by Cyber Incident Response.
  • Manage case management metrics tools and analyze case histories for future insights.
  • Provide situation reports and other significant case-related material to clients or case leads.
  • Produce case summaries and other reports.
  • Refine Control Risks’ cyber response methodologies and approaches.
  • Develop and enhance existing in-house technical toolsets.
  • Support marketing initiatives.
  • Support in creating proposals and bid-related material.
  • Support client presentations and pitches relating to new cyber response opportunities.
  • Work closely with other Control Risks departments on joint opportunities.

Requirements

  • Degree-level qualification or equivalent, preferably in a field related to risk, security, information security, intelligence or computer science.
  • Understanding of the cyber threat landscape and key cyber security concepts.
  • Existing technical proficiency in areas relevant to cyber incident response or demonstrable interest and ability in developing technical skills.
  • Ability to communicate clearly in written and oral form at senior levels.
  • Able to explain difficult technical concepts and ideas in non-technical terms.
  • Ability to see security from the attacker’s point of view.
  • Business proficiency in one or more European languages (preferred).
  • Demonstrable self-led development and research (preferred).
  • Must be available to attend a virtual assessment centre during the week commencing 5th October (5th – 9th October).
