About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Officer for Informatics Education to join the Doctoral College for Informatics Didactics at the Gesellschaft für Informatik e.V. (GI) in Berlin. This role involves conceptualizing and leading projects in informatics education, collaborating with the informatics didactics community, and contributing to policy papers. The position is initially for two years with the possibility of extension, and the working hours can be between 30-40 per week.
Responsibilities
- Conceptualize and lead projects in informatics education (e.g., studies, educational policy work, networking formats)
- Collaborate with the informatics didactics community in Germany and internationally
- Co-develop position statements and policy papers in the field of informatics education and schools
- Project management, reporting, and support with budget and annual planning
- Lead the monitoring process within the project
- Responsibility for the project's internal collaboration infrastructure
- Participate in public relations and event planning
Requirements
- Completed university degree, ideally with teaching experience, experience in teacher training, and/or educational policy work
- Expertise in informatics education
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Experience working with diverse stakeholder groups (project partners, politics, administration, science, economy)
- Goal-oriented work approach and project management experience
- Willingness to travel within Germany
- Network in informatics didactics
- Initial experience in personnel management and guiding colleagues
- Initial experience in research work
