About the Role

This role drives sales, ensures effective merchandise presentation, and provides excellent customer service within the Vision Center. You will oversee operations, manage associates, and ensure compliance with company policies and legal regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Drives sales in the Vision Center by ensuring effective merchandise presentation, accurate pricing, proper signing, and optimal stock and inventory levels.
  • Budgets and forecasts sales, and assesses economic trends and community needs.
  • Models, enforces, and provides direction on customer service approaches to ensure customer needs and issues are resolved effectively.
  • Oversees the implementation of and participates in community outreach programs.
  • Ensures compliance with Company and legal policies, procedures, and regulations for the Vision Center.
  • Analyzes and interprets reports, implements and monitors asset protection and safety controls.
  • Oversees safety, operational, and quality assurance reviews and develops action plans for improvement.
  • Provides direction and guidance on executing Company programs and strategic initiatives.
  • Directs Vision Center Associates in ensuring confidentiality of information, documentation, and records.
  • Provides supervision and development opportunities for Associates by hiring, training, mentoring, assigning duties, providing recognition, and promoting a belonging mindset.
  • Ensures the provision of quality eyewear by consulting with and educating members/customers.
  • Selects products based on member/customer needs, obtains measurements, and verifies prescriptions.
  • Maintains confidential information, performs minor frame repair, and maintains Optical equipment.
  • Upholds the Company's Open Door Policy by meeting with Associates, listening to concerns, researching issues, and suggesting resolutions.
  • Coordinates, completes, and oversees job-related activities and assignments.
  • Develops and maintains relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Supports plans and initiatives to meet customer and business needs.

Requirements

  • Completion of 2 or more years of college OR 1 year’s retail experience and 1 year’s supervisory experience OR 2 years’ general work experience including 1 year’s optical experience.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Current eligibility to work as an optician or apprentice optician under applicable state laws, regulations, and/or rules.
