About the Role
The Bilingual Client Support Specialist serves as the first point of contact for clients seeking information and assistance with enrolling in affordable health insurance. No experience with health insurance is required. This is a temporary, seasonal, grant-funded position with paid training.
Responsibilities
- Provide on-site client assistance and support by phone and in person
- Answer client questions, share information, and schedule appointments
- Participate in phone banking campaign to previous clients
- Help determine client eligibility for Marketplace plans and financial assistance
- Enter client information accurately in the REDCap database
- Utilize RingCentral phone system to manage program incoming calls
- Serve multilingual clients using the language line
- Complete all specified paid trainings and Centers for Medicaid & Medicare Services (CMS) Certified Application Counselor (CAC) certification
- Protect client confidentiality and PII/PHI in compliance with HIPAA policies
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Bilingual in English and Spanish required
- Ability to provide superior customer service by phone to clients with diverse identities and needs
- Ability to engage with under-served and under-represented populations
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to be flexible, learn quickly, and multi-task
