About the Role
You will own backend development end to end, including technology selection, architecture design, and implementation of features that drive platform performance and scale. You will build AI-first, utilizing coding agents, LLMs, and AI-assisted development as part of your daily workflow. You will also set standards for code quality, development practices, and CI/CD pipelines, and mentor engineers.
Responsibilities
- Own backend development end to end: technology selection, architecture design, and implementation of features that carry platform performance and scale
- Build AI-first, with coding agents, LLMs and AI-assisted development as part of the daily workflow
- Set the standards: code quality benchmarks, development practices, and CI/CD pipelines, agreed cross-functionally and enforced in review
- Mentor engineers, share knowledge, and raise the bar on backend practice
- Challenge existing approaches and propose better ones
Requirements
- 8+ years in software engineering, with 5+ years focused on backend
- Deep TypeScript proficiency
- Strong Node.js, NestJS and PostgreSQL experience
- Proven mentorship track record
- Solid command of Git, Docker and CI/CD pipelines
- Comfortable in Scrum or Kanban, working with JIRA and Confluence
- English at C1 level or above, written and spoken
- AI-native working style, using AI tools in development workflow
- Based in Berlin or ready to relocate
