About the Role

As an Account Manager (w/m/d) for federal and state governments, you will support the digital transformation in the public sector by guiding public administration stakeholders in modernization and digitalization efforts. You will understand their requirements, jointly develop suitable solution approaches, and manage implementation from initial contact to successful project completion.

Responsibilities

• Review, account, and book incoming and outgoing invoices, and maintain accounts receivable and payable.
• Independently handle ongoing financial accounting, including accounting and booking of other business transactions.
• Assist in preparing monthly and annual financial statements.
• Review, process, and settle travel expenses for employees.
• Reconcile and maintain accounts, and contribute to the ongoing optimization of accounting processes.
• Collaborate closely with the Operations and Finance teams, as well as other internal departments.

Requirements

• Completed vocational training as a tax assistant, further training as a certified accountant, a commercial degree, or comparable qualification through professional experience.
• Ideally, several years of professional experience in financial accounting, with independent and confident handling of ongoing accounting transactions.
• Proficient in MS Office (especially Excel and Word) and experience with standard accounting software.
• Work meticulously, structured, and independently.
• Very good written and spoken German and English skills.
