About the Role
Join traide AI, a VC-backed B2B deep tech startup in Berlin, using AI to automate critical international trade compliance processes. Our software helps customers save significant time and reduce regulatory errors. We have experienced 3x growth in the past 12 months and are trusted by major brands.
Responsibilities
- Own the full loop from user problem identification to shipped interface.
- Design user flows, prototype solutions, and collaborate with engineering.
- Explore and prototype with AI tools, Figma, or code to find the fastest solutions.
- Apply editorial judgment to AI-generated UI, correcting errors even when subtle.
- Solve user problems from first principles, focusing on the right interaction.
- Craft details that enhance product trustworthiness, especially in compliance.
- Work in small, focused pods with minimal hierarchy and handoffs.
- Be accountable for outcomes and measure success by user impact, not just deliverables.
- Engage directly with users, read API specifications, and build in code when efficient.
Requirements
- Fluency in English (C1+).
- Genuine design craft with a proven track record of shipping interfaces.
- Strong visual sensibility, high standards, and attention to detail.
- Range across Design, Product, and Engineering, capable of independent prototyping.
- Experience building personal AI workflows and evaluating AI output.
- Comfortable working in ambiguity and iterating based on user feedback.
- Willingness to show portfolio or work examples.
- Experience with products where errors have significant consequences (e.g., fintech, healthtech, logistics, compliance) is ideal but not required.
- Berlin-based or willing to relocate.
