About the Role
The Business Development Manager will lead the firm’s business development activities with Institutional & Wealth prospects and clients in the Netherlands, driving growth across Wellington’s full product suite with pension funds, public institutions, wealth intermediaries, and insurance companies.
Responsibilities
- Developing and executing the firm’s sales strategy with Institutional, Wealth and Consultant prospects and clients in the Netherlands
- Driving growth across the firm’s range of investment strategies, in line with business priorities
- Developing successful long term relationships with strategic partners, in partnership with Relationship Management colleagues
- Contributing to the development of wider industry relationships
- Partnering closely with Marketing and PR colleagues to ensure that local marketing and sales strategies are closely aligned, and contributing to the continued growth in brand awareness
- Providing guidance and direction to Relationship Analysts
- Ensuring compliance with evolving regulatory requirements
Requirements
- 10+ years of relevant industry experience, including experience of leading Institutional sales activities in the Dutch market
- Demonstrable track record of successfully developing and managing a network of Institutional & Wealth client relationships
- Comprehensive understanding of competitors, products, key market trends, and industry developments
- In-depth knowledge of financial markets and investment strategies, and an ability to influence through a content-led, consultative sales approach
- Action orientated, accountable, committed, driven and self-motivated, with excellent communication and team working skills
- Ability to prioritise, focus, eliminate roadblocks and execute a sales strategy in a timely manner
- High level of integrity and trust, and a client centric focus
