About the Role
Support the daily operations of the Federal Ministry of Transport (BMV) in commissioning alternative drives for buses and rail transport. Focus on implementing the funding guideline for buses with alternative drives, managing smaller sub-projects, coordination, and reporting.
Responsibilities
- Analyze data using Python and SQL to gain valuable insights.
- Monitor and analyze market and technology developments in the bus sector.
- Create meaningful visualizations and graphics with Plotly to support market analysis.
- Develop standardized Python functions for internal libraries.
- Organize and systematize relevant data to ensure knowledge is structured and accessible.
- Research program-relevant information and identify new data sources.
- Support the team in handling inquiries from politics, business, and research.
- Assist with the preparation and follow-up of appointments and events.
- Take on smaller sub-projects, coordination tasks, and reporting duties.
- Support daily business operations.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, Natural Sciences, Engineering, or a comparable field.
- Basic knowledge of Python (especially pandas, Plotly), SQL (Redshift), and Git.
- Interest in the electrification of public transport, particularly buses.
- Experience in preparing and visualizing information.
- Interest in cloud-based IT architectures like AWS, with ideally some practical experience.
- Desire to learn about databases, data architectures, and data processing in practice.
- Proficient in MS Office, especially Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Structured, reliable, and independent work style.
- Very good German language skills.
