About the Role
Our Global Mobility Tax team operates on a global basis, helping clients harness the right people, with the right capabilities, in the right place and at the right cost. As part of our team, you will help to move talent across the globe seamlessly and reshape the way businesses manage and support their international and domestic workforces. You will also contribute to the development of cutting-edge, efficient, and compliant global mobility programs and processes, and bring creative solutions to the market.
Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive tax advisory and compliance services that support HR, payroll, and mobility teams throughout the assignment lifecycle—enhancing talent mobility in a cost-effective and compliant manner.
- Manage global tax and regulatory complexities for business travellers and remote workers, offering strategic insights that strengthen global workforce planning and seamless cross-border mobility.
- Provide guidance on home and host country tax obligations, assess individual tax residency, prepare returns and equalization settlements, and ensure audit-ready compliance across employment tax categories.
- Take ownership of a diverse portfolio, supporting both inbound and outbound clients and assignees, being the key point of contact for clients and managing and overseeing EY delivery teams.
Requirements
- Brings experience in building and managing corporate mobility programs within large organisations or professional services, including in-house and service provider environments.
- Demonstrates strong project management skills and client relationship management, especially with executive-level assignees, and excels in written, verbal, and interpersonal communication to engage effectively with clients and teams.
- Brings experience in teaming, working collaboratively both with onshore and offshore teams and proactively takes the lead in coaching and mentoring.
- Combines strategic insight and commercial awareness across industries with a flexible, enthusiastic approach to work, including the ability to deliver under pressure and showcase solutions like technology demonstrations.
- Preferred if candidate has some previous experience in Australian expatriate and personal tax matters including individual tax residency driving Australian tax obligations including income tax, capital gains tax and also employer tax and reporting obligations in Australian for employees and expatriates.
- Employment screening by EY or their external third-party provider will be required.
