About the Role

IQVIA's CRO division is seeking a sales professional to drive business acquisition and expansion through consultative sales to existing and new pharmaceutical and clinical development sponsors. The mission is to build long-term relationships and achieve business growth by understanding customer challenges and proposing IQVIA's solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Generate and develop new business opportunities within designated accounts.
  • Plan and execute sales strategies, building and managing the sales pipeline.
  • Develop and manage sales plans and progress for each account.
  • Build long-term relationships with decision-makers within client organizations.
  • Deeply understand client needs and establish trust.
  • Improve customer satisfaction through regular communication.
  • Analyze client challenges and propose optimal solutions.
  • Prepare proposals and negotiate contract terms.
  • Lead presentations to secure business.
  • Collaborate with operations, proposal, and contract teams to advance deals.
  • Act as a liaison between clients and internal technical/delivery teams.
  • Facilitate internal coordination and closing support based on client culture and requirements.
  • Analyze competitor trends, pricing, and positioning.
  • Analyze win/loss reasons and improve strategies.
  • Optimize sales strategies to meet market needs.
  • Record sales activities in the CRM system.
  • Prepare and report sales performance.
  • Manage post-contract signing follow-up and processes.

Requirements

  • Native-level Japanese proficiency.
  • Business-level English proficiency.
  • Sales experience in CRO or CDMO.
  • Deep knowledge of GCP and a desire to transition to a sales role (e.g., from Clinical Project Manager, CRA).
  • Ability to understand client challenges and propose strategic solutions.
  • Ability to engage internal and external stakeholders to drive deals.
  • Flexibility to adapt to a rapidly changing environment.
