About the Role

The People Advisory Senior Consultant will work closely with people leaders across multiple geographies, providing and implementing people support aligned to corporate policies and processes. This role involves leading a regional team to ensure high-quality, consistent, and customer-focused advice and support to managers and employees on a range of employment policies and performance management issues.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate local employment legislation, HR policies, and practices to propose improvements in service delivery.
  • Contribute to employee relations strategy in collaboration with Business Partners, COEs, and peers.
  • Ensure compliance with country and local HR laws and regulations, partnering with legal counsel.
  • Review the application of employment policies and inform their development.
  • Communicate changes in employment legislation and policy to relevant teams and ensure alignment of practices.
  • Provide responsive and high-quality support, coaching, and advice on employee relations and performance issues.
  • Manage employee relations/performance cases professionally and efficiently.
  • Provide regional service for individual consultations during TUPE/M&A activities.
  • Manage relationships with country unions or works councils where appropriate.
  • Ensure HR Consultancy function processes are integrated and customer-focused.
  • Lead high-risk employee relations cases and investigations, managing escalations.
  • Provide independent and professional mediation services.
  • Monitor employment tribunal cases to understand costs and embed learning.
  • Lead the execution of complex HR programs and projects across functions or geographies.
  • Support COEs and HRBPs in rolling out critical programs and initiatives locally.
  • Contribute to organizational health by monitoring and analyzing performance indicators and developing solutions.
  • Participate in and provide data for audit reports, HSE, or governmental reporting requirements.
  • Coach and influence management on the application of employment policies.
  • Improve efficiency in managing attendance, performance, and employee relations using management information.
  • Ensure training plans and tools are developed to meet needs.
  • Steward the organization’s culture and cultural pillars.
  • Coach leaders on the link between behaviors and culture, integrating cultural standards into HR practices.
  • Communicate the culture broadly and frame it to engage employees.
  • Implement systems and practices that align individual behavior and organizational goals.
  • Act as a working team leader, supporting HR E2E activities and coaching team members and HR Services.
  • Act as a champion for internal customer focus, gathering and acting on feedback for continuous improvement.
  • Contribute to the development and improvement of the HR Consultancy model and case management system.
  • Input to new policies, policy guides, process maps, and Servicenow to support policy introduction.
  • Ensure Servicenow classifications and tasks support MI requirements.
  • Identify and implement new initiatives to enhance HR Consultancy advice quality.
  • Proactively seek customer input to ensure delivery meets business needs and propose service level changes.
  • Ensure deep understanding of business needs to provide aligned HR support.
  • Clearly articulate business outcomes and objectives for employee relations/performance interventions.
  • Manage day-to-day relationships with third-party suppliers.
  • Ensure suppliers are briefed and track performance against SLAs.

Requirements

  • Strong working knowledge of employment laws and practices for a specific region or country.
  • Previous HR experience at a generalist level.
  • Experience operating in a Shared Services HR model is ideal.
  • Broad knowledge of shared services and center of excellence operating environments, service systems, processes, and capabilities.
  • Experience with Workday and other HR People Management systems.
  • Strong MS Office software experience.
  • Skill in database management and record keeping.
  • Strong analytical capability for problem-solving, conflict resolution, and employee relations matters.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Must be innovative and proactive in a fast-paced environment with a willingness to adapt.
  • Demonstrates integrity in all business interactions.
  • Relevant language capability and cultural awareness dependent on region or country.
  • Demonstrated ability to mentor more junior team members.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver on project commitments.
