About the Role

Rogers Sports & Media is seeking a broadcast technology professional with hands-on experience supporting television production environments and a strong appetite for continuous learning. The ideal candidate brings experience working with broadcast infrastructure, production systems, media workflows, and IP-based technologies, along with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues in a fast-paced operational environment.

Responsibilities

Perform technical maintenance on cameras, audio consoles, switches, and network connections.
Liaise with staff and respond to their technical priorities.
Provide on-site technical support for live productions (i.e. CityNews).
Provide support on archiving MAM Systems.
Install and test production equipment and editing systems.
Update documentation as required.
Provide training on new installations as required.
Provide technical support for Camera Operators in the field.

Requirements

Technical college diploma in Electronics and/or Computer Sciences or equivalent experience.
Minimum of 3 years related IT and broadcast experience.
In-depth knowledge of digital video/audio systems.
Good working knowledge of television production and editing.
Working knowledge of AutoCad.
Demonstrated competence with desktop applications including Microsoft Office (Word, excel, Outlook).
Excellent written and oral communications skills.
Ability to manage multiple conflicting priorities.
A pre-employment background check will be conducted.
Candidates must clear a criminal background check.
A credit check and drivers abstract may be required depending on the role.
