About the Role

The Senior Lead Engineer, Systems/Applications designs, integrates, and manages complex systems over their life cycles, engaging in disciplines like requirements engineering, reliability, logistics, testing, and maintainability. They enhance designs through feedback from various reviews and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure robust product development.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, development, and implementation of technical solutions in multiple domains.
  • Participate in project planning and scheduling.
  • Provide technical leadership and direction to a team of engineers.
  • Review, interpret, and negotiate customer requirements/specifications and provide customer feedback.
  • Lead the deployment of strategic programs and coordinate site-wide deployment efforts.
  • Proactively promote industry best practices.
  • Manage relationships with key vendors/partners.
  • Research systems ideas and draw up plans for these systems.
  • Design, modify, and implement systems that meet customer and Celestica needs.
  • Test, simulate, and measure the performance of systems.
  • Keep up to date with relevant industry knowledge and regulations.
  • Solve complex problems.
  • Liaison with suppliers, customers, contractors, and other internal teams.
  • Analyze and interpret data and information.
  • Recommend system modifications.
  • Create reports and documentation.

Requirements

  • Duties of this position are performed in a normal office environment.
  • Duties may require extended periods of sitting and sustained visual concentration on a computer monitor or on numbers and other detailed data.
  • Repetitive manual movements are frequently required.
  • Occasional travel may be required.
