About the Role
The Royal Canadian Yacht Club (RCYC) is seeking an experienced and compassionate Physiotherapist to join our team. The ideal candidate brings strong clinical expertise, a commitment to evidence-based practice, and the ability to support diverse client needs in a welcoming, patient-centered environment.
Responsibilities
- Greet Members and visitors warmly, ensuring proper sign-in protocols.
- Complete comprehensive physiotherapy assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Provide therapeutic interventions using evidence-based techniques.
- Collaborate with interprofessional team members to support holistic client care.
- Maintain accurate client records in accordance with regulatory standards.
- Educate clients on injury prevention, mobility, and wellness strategies.
- Contribute to continuous quality improvement initiatives.
Requirements
- Graduate of a recognized Post-Secondary Physiotherapy program.
- Licensed and in good standing with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario.
- Eligible for membership with the Canadian Physiotherapy Association.
- Education and/or experience supporting relevant client populations—such as chronic disease and women’s health—is considered a strong asset.
- Valid First Aid and CPR-C Certification.
- Valid Professional Liability Insurance.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and contribute to a collaborative environment.
- Basic computer skills and comfort using email and fitness software.
- Able to lift up to 40 lbs and assist with fitness equipment setup.
- Frequent standing, bending, and walking throughout shifts.
- Able to respond promptly in emergency situations.
