About the Role

OpenText Japan is recruiting for a Lead Solution Consultant for its Contents/Experience Sales division. This role provides technical and solution-based support to the Japan sales team, contributing to deal creation and closure. The position is based in Tokyo with expected medium travel throughout Japan.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical and solution-based support to the Japan Contents/Experience Sales team.
• Create and close deals.
• Deliver technical or solution-based assistance to CE, CSSE, and SSSE.
• Create and drive revenue with CE from existing and net new customers.
• Take charge of a Direct/Partner selling route.
• Get product knowledge by utilizing internal resources.
• Deliver proactive proposals to customers and partners.
• Deliver effective demos to customers.
• Perform effective POCs.
• Develop and enable partners.
• Collaborate with the marketing team to generate pipeline.
• Liaise with OpenText group executives.
• Work with Client Executive, Professional Service, Customer Support, and other supporting teams.

Requirements

• Proven pre-sales skills such as Technical Presentation, Solution Presentation, Demos and POC based on good technical knowledge and a business acumen including strong communication skills.
• Experience as a presales consultant for enterprise software solutions is mandatory.
• Experience with solutions related to ECM solutions is preferred.
• Experience with ERP (SAP and others) is preferred.
• Experience with business development is preferred.
• Experience in a multi-national, multi-lingual work environment is preferred.
• Successful foreign small software company pre-sales or solution consultant background is a plus.
