About the Role
Responsible for managing staff, schedules and finances of the site. Ensures compliance with all OPWDD & OFPC regulations and state survey results. Focuses on ensuring individuals supported have excellent supports and live the lives they love, fostering collaborative and person-centered relationships.
Responsibilities
- Monitor all functions of home operation; ensure supports are present for all people in the home.
- Supervise, collaborate, discipline, hire, and terminate direct support staff.
- Comply with Residential regulations, agency policy and procedures, training, and documentation.
- Maintain budgetary compliance with staff schedules, overtime, and household expenses.
- Ensure accurate documentation and billing requirements are met.
- Schedule direct support staff and perform direct support duties as needed.
- Work with family, advocate, or correspondent on behalf of individuals supported in the home.
- Develop and implement management best practices that enhance employee engagement and retention.
- Assist with all other necessary duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED required; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
- Minimum one-year prior experience working directly with individuals with developmental disabilities and/or related human services program experience required.
- One year of supervisory experience in any field or six months internal supervisory experience required.
- Medical certification and g-tube training required.
- Must be able to read, write and speak the English language.
- Valid NYS Driver's license that meets agency standards and reliable transportation.
- Ability to lift and transfer individuals, walking, climbing, bending and reaching.
