About the Role
This position involves building and operating Soracom's business systems, supporting various IoT use cases like vending machines, smart meters, payment terminals, and monitoring/translation devices. You will collaborate with diverse teams globally, from the initial stages of new services and business frameworks to defining specifications, building, and operating systems that are user-friendly for both customers and employees.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and operate billing and payment systems for Soracom services offered in Japan and globally.
- Design, build, and operate direct sales and shipping systems for devices and communication equipment.
- Design, build, and operate internal business systems.
- Continuously improve and release existing business systems based on user feedback.
- Plan and launch new business systems to support business expansion.
Requirements
- Experience implementing business logic using Java or a statically-typed language.
- Ability to understand business requirements and define/implement appropriate specifications with the business side.
- Experience developing and operating large-scale web systems.
- Experience in data design and performance tuning for scalable systems.
- Ability to learn and keep up with the latest technology trends through hands-on experimentation.
- Ability to implement while understanding the overall system and the libraries/frameworks used.
- Japanese and English proficiency to work with internal global teams.
